Harvard researchers agree that blue light has a dark side. The blue light emitted from your devices is affecting your circadian rhythm and natural production of melatonin. Moreover, people with sleep problems are at greater risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

What can you do?

  • Remember the 20-20-20 rule: look away from the screen every 20 minutes for at least 20 seconds at something 20 feet away.
  • Use bright lights during the day and dimmed (or even red) lights at bedtime.
  • Download f.lux for free: an app that automatically adjusts the blue light emitted from your devices according to your sleep schedule.
